Well, it seems Blogger wants to cut FTP support. That means I would have to either move all my blogs over to their hosting solution, or migrate to a different blogging system to keep it here on my own webserver. According to Blogger's stats, only 5% of their users do what I do... FTP their blog from Bloggers servers to their own hosting service. Therefore, it's not "cost effective" for them to continue offering FTP as an option for us.

So... on that note, I think I will be migrating to a different solution. My webhosting company offers WordPress that I can install through their Control Panel. It will be a locally hosted option, instead of having to do everything through a third party, and I won't have to change the address of my blog too severely. It will remain hosted on my own paid-for system.

Plus, WordPress has a lot of other features that, while Blogger may have installed since my last login, weren't there when I started all of this. My updates are extremely rare and sporadic lately, so it doesn't really matter all that much if I just move everything over.
